That's what really pisses me off, he is using God to cover up his sorry lying arse! Trying to play dumb that he didn't know dealers were listing his Chinese knives as made in the USA! He won't take responsibility trying to put blame on the dealers.

Note: if the now deleted origin chart is accurate he is now back to lying about where his knives are made. They aren't made in Finland or wherever, they are made in China. He is trying to trick people into thinking that he gathers the bestest parts from the whole globe then assembles them in America. I am surprised he didn't mention the North freaking Pole and Santa's Elves.

The country of origin chart is currently available on Hoback's site, and has been for a little while now. It is definitely at odds with the response in the FAQ (also on his site) about sourcing for parts, since only two countries appear on the COO breakdown: the US and China.

Regarding the bold, yes you can. That's how you defeat their argument. Yes, you might be right in that their goal is to just disrupt the conversation but two things on that.

First, that is not something that can be known out the gate, and can only be learned through having the conversation.

Secondly, even if that is why they're here, convincing them not a requirement, nor arguably the goal. As you say, their mind wont be changed. However, others that are reading that are on the fence might change their mind.

So I say, don't shun them. Engage. Parry. Counter. Prove them wrong. They will either leave voluntarily or they will keep pressing the indefensible so far that it is now clear that trolling is the goal.

I disagree, being disingenuous and willfully ignoring pertinent facts to continue an illogical defense of the indefensible is troll like. But to each their own. I do agree that if that kind of behavior is going to take place then people should counter them with logic and truth. Even if it is repetitive. People being rude is deserved once the willful ignorance exceeds a certain threshold, in my opinion.

Anyway, this isn't directly related to hoback so I will leave it at that.
