Blowback has been making and selling knives for several years (or longer). I realize that you aren't going to admit that any of us are right, so I'm just going to keep destroying your bad logic. Tell me, all those years....dude still wasn't able to get around to correcting all the dealers, and all the knife blogs, forums, and webpages all proudly proclaiming in glowing praise that his knives are made here? Just didn't get around to it? Didn't have time? Too busy?

LOL Total clownshoes.
3D Anvil 3D Anvil Any answer to this? In your opinion, after all these years, is there a statute of limitations where he should have just let the big mean ole dealers say whatever they wanted? Poor guy's just been so busy he never got around to clearing it all up for them? Is that your position?

In a civil trial, or criminal one for that matter, the burden of proof is on the accuser. He would point to the absolute absence of evidence in his motion for summary judgment, which would be granted.
In a civil trial it's preponderance of the evidence, not proof beyond a reasonable doubt. I think there's enough that he might be hoist with his own petard...But...that's for the lawyers to wrangle with, if it actually ever came to that...and for a judge and jury to decide. Civil's not my thing, except when it came to federal seizures pursuant to criminal cases.

Regardless, his reputation and character are in serious need of resuscitation...and in this community, that still means something. At least to most.

If you're satisfied with his explanation...more power to you.

Did Hoback tell these dealers his knives were made in the US?

No.

Did the dealers ASK him if they were?

No.

Did they post that the knives were made in the USA anyway?

Yes.

And that's Hoback's fault.

LOL

What’s the logic here, that because Hoback asked USAmadeblade to sell their knives that it’s the equivalent of lying? Man, the mental gymnastics involved in THAT one…
USA made blade. USA made blade. USA made blade. Mental gymnastics 🤡

Imagine watching a video where a dude openly admits to lying and also to allowing his knives to be sold under the America made banner. Profit is a coincidence... right. Talk about mental gymnastics.

Yes, I'm familiar with the standard of proof. But since there is NO evidence that Hoback made any false claims, there is no case, period.

Did Hoback correct them? Yes or no?

Right, don't you think USA MADE BLADE should be responsible to check and see if they're misrepresenting the products they're selling? USA MADE BLADE!

You just made that up. You don't know what Jake told every dealer. Stop making things up.

Through his inaction, he allowed his product to be misrepresented. It appears to be your position that he has no culpability in this at all, which is tremendously dumb.

Again, this has gone on for years. No culpability?

At this point, I also think you're actually Jake Blowback. LOL

If you're okay with the fact that his knives might not only not be fully made in the USA, but from his video might be fully outsourced in another country, and he's clearly gone out of his way to hide that fact for a long time, then there's no problem, buy his stuff.

If it bothers you based on his video that some of his knives have never been made in the US, and others were sometimes made in his shop, sometimes in other shops in the USA, and sometimes outsourced to other countries, but the price tag is the same for all of them, and he won't tell you the difference, then he's probably not the guy for you to buy from.

Everyone makes their own judgement on his character as well. I find myself asking if he'd have put the same lack of effort into correcting the misinformation if he really did make all his knives in his shop but vendors were claiming his knives were made in China and it was hurting his sales. Are we to believe that he didn't know that USA Made Blade only sells made in the USA knives, or perhaps that he didn't know they were selling his knives at all?

If someone comes up to you and says "I think you lost your wallet" and hands it toward you and you take it and say "Thanks" but it's not your wallet......you didn't lie, it's not stealing, you just didn't "correct" them, so I guess that's okay to some people.

I guess now we know why he doesn't put any country of origin on any of his knives, even he doesn't know where it was made! 🤣

Why is it Hoback's responsibility to copy check the assertions of these dealers? This is ludicrous.
BECAUSE THEY'RE SELLING HI....ok, it's pretty clear that you're a troll at this point. Either that, or your critical thinking skills got left at home and you're out somewhere typing this stuff on your phone.

That's right, THEY are selling. As in, it's THEIR store, and it's THEIR claim -- not his claim.
