(cute little advertisement jingle)

"Hi!! Having problems with a retailer misrepresenting your product? Here are some easy ways you can completely and irrevocably solve that problem forever!"

1. IMMEDIATELY Mark the country of origin on your product. In this case, either on the knife itself, the box, or the birth card!
2. IMMEDIATELY Make it clear that some of your knives are produced overseas, and mention which specific knives those are!
3. IMMEDIATELY Mention in really big letters on your own web page that some dealers are mislabeling your knives, and that some of them are producted wholesale overseas and shipped to you!
4. IMMEDIATELY Mention that you outsource batches of knives when doing interviews or pressers at BLADE shows!
5. IMMEDIATELY Mention on your social media that some of your knives are outsourced overseas! (and I mean from the beginning, not friggin' today)
6. Profit!

I've seen some claims that 50.1% made in America can be claimed as Made in America on a product. That's incorrect. The actual standard is, "all or virtually all," of the product.

Here's the source.
Yes it does, for government procurement purposes. Is it not “made in America” if the government says 50.1% is the standard for them? Better let them know that the “Buy America” act needs an overhaul to reflect your new standard.

Yes, I'm familiar with the standard of proof. But since there is NO evidence that Hoback made any false claims, there is no case, period.
No evidence that you're aware of...

...You're making an assumption that there is no evidence based upon posts in this thread.

Do you actually have any firsthand knowledge of what evidence, testimonial, documentary or otherwise, exist? If not, why not just say that it's your opinion instead of offering it as fact.

Seems like you have a personal interest in the matter that goes beyond mere discussion and debate. Or perhaps you just aren't choosing your words carefully...sort of like Hoback, apparently.

Man, totally forgot the 3D Anvil 3D Anvil logic way: Just blame the dealers and let them get away with it for many years, because the knives sell and you're getting paid selling sweat shop knives for $700!

🤣🤣🤣

Customs requires any imported products to be clearly visibly and permanently marked with their country of origin.

Source.

If Hoback was, indeed, making entire knives in other countries and failing to clearly label them that is absolutely 100% on him.
No response to my counter to your post calling me incorrect? You know, the one where I literally took a screenshot of FTC info.

It really is those dealer's fault for trusting his word. No one forced them to trust he wouldn't stab them when they weren't looking.

It's common business practice to hire a PI and have them investigate the subject for a year or two before making any order. Common business practice.

How about a response to why his overseas knives are never marked? Coincidence that he let his knives be sold as American made for years and he left off China or whatever country made it?

Of course not! Your logic is much better.. let the dealers write whatever they want, and if Hoback doesn’t patrol the net to screen for inaccuracies, blame Hoback for “lying”. That approach is way more logical. 🙄

No evidence that anyone posting on this thread is aware of. So this whole witch hunt is based on what?

NO EVIDENCE.

Thank you.

Right?

But in all seriousness, I'm still waiting for 3D Chess Moves here to explain away how it's the dealers' fault that Blowback let them "get away with" labeling his products as US made for so many years, when a simple phone call could have cleared it all up. I mean, you see how quickly they changed the "Specs" when this came to light. You telling me they couldn't have done that then? LOL The logic, it BURNS US, PRECIOUS.

How about have some damn integrity as a man and make sure your knives are correctly labeled as to country of origin and properly represented online... you know what integrity is right? Or na?
