Alox cadet, it's always in my pocket unless it's being used.

Eta: it's rarely my only blade; usually accompanied by something with a butterfly or a ZT logo on it, however one of my other EDC options that often makes the rotation is a Buck 110, which could definitely be considered budget.

Lol, some anonymous stranger on a forum beating his chest, who cares. Don't let it bother you buddy, and welcome. :)

Haha.. some anonymous stranger on a forum telling you it's ok to post an XM-18 on a budget thread where the OP posts a S&W.. let it bother you. It's called logic.. But welcome nonetheless.

Thanks , I appreciate it

Awww you appreciate it.. Hope you sleep well tonight. I'll post my Lightfoot next and wait for someone to coddle me and tell me it's ok. You followed up with a Delica for a reason. You realized that posting an XM-18 on a budget thread is completely ridiculous.

You are correct, I realized the mistake

I used to carry my Byrd Cara Cara 2 pretty much everywhere, but too bad I lost it during my time in the military. It is quite sad since I liked the knife itself a lot. Picked up ESEE Zancudo few months ago, and I do absolutely love that little folder. For those situations I'll have to be more "dressy", I usually take my Victorinox Spartan with me, which is pretty handy(like all SAKs are). For general outdoors use I usually take my Eskabar with me.

Considering getting Spyderco Delica or Endura next, to have some rotation for my folders. Possibly Svörd Peasant too, since those seem pretty nice, on the paper at least.

At one time, my budget was $600 for a knife, but I have friends that scoff at a $20 knife as being too expensive. I haven't bought a new knife over $100 in a long time, mostly just Mora knives. I don't consider those to be budget either. I consider them to be great value. I see a budget knife as something you need, but it's not particularly what you want. If you walked into a knife shop and said you want a Medford Praetorian, but your budget is $200, the clerk will show you what's available in that range.

I find it particularly funny that people consider a $20 knife, a budget knife. Unless you had to save up money to buy it, it's not a budget knife. However, if you want to say that you bought it because it fit in your budget, then we can agree that everyone's budget is different. Point being, if my budget for the month is $100, and I didn't buy a knife for the month, then maybe next month my budget is $200.

Maybe it's because I haven't had my coffee yet, but I just can't understand why you feel the need to argue about the meaning of the word budget... You clearly understood what the op was looking for, so why are you trying to provoke an argument?

Cold steel Kudu will soon replace my Gerber Remix, once the Kudu is reground. These are supplemented with a CRKT small M21.

What are the CRKT small fixed blades?

I'm having trouble deciding on which knive to get for an new edc I'm thinking over the Rat model 2 or the Spyderco Tenacious or the Spyderco Persistence let me know wat u think

Gerber EZ-out 3 in blade plain edge. I have carried them for years, lost one broke the point off one[as I was an IDIOT & used it as a pry bar] Easy to sharpen holds a great edge. I could easily gut & skin a deer with it Nice grips, wet or dry. Opens quickly locks up solid! Less than $50 Gets my vote, OK because I have used one for probably 10 yrs so I have NO complainys.
