Great findI really need to start leaving my wallet at home when I go to the feed store, and carry only enough cash with me to get what I went there to get!I was sunk as soon as I picked it up. The ergonomics of the Case Bose knives really suit me, all three of the ones I own are extremely comfortable in my hand. The F&F on this one is very good. I imagine it will be in my pocket tomorrow.

Thank you. I was in love with it from the jump. Surprised I don’t see more talk about it on BF.Great find
Saddlehorns are one of the best patterns Case offers IMO.
The action is perfect; just a wonderful little piece
I have two and everything is mint on both.

I hope this won’t ruffle too many feathers, as this isn’t a traditional knife. But it will be used *on* traditional knives.
Today I stumbled across this gorgeous little ball peen hammer at an antique fair, and I just couldn’t resist.
I’m not certain what its original intended use was. Perhaps it was a jeweler’s hammer, or it might have been part of a youth tool set.
But it’s a “knife hammer” now.

Love the craftsmanship put into even simple tools back then. And who knows it may have been a knife hammer in the past. I would love to see a good picture of a workbench where knives was assembled 100 years ago.I hope this won’t ruffle too many feathers, as this isn’t a traditional knife. But it will be used *on* traditional knives.

Right on, Ed&John. The wife and I went to dinner last night and on the way, we stopped at our road-side mailbox only to discover a wee, white, box fromJohnDF . All through dinner, I was wondering just what could be in that wee, white, box. It turns out that it was a 2007 GEC Northfield #73 Ebony Scout Trappr Serial # 09 SFO for Cumberland Knife Works (CKW) who I believe was an original distributor for GEC. As shown in the pictures, the knife is beautifully etched and when the tube was opened it was discovered that the knife was accompanied by an Eisenhower Silver Dollar.

This was a selfless and totally unexpected gift from John. A first rate knife that anyone would be proud to own and have in their collection. Thanks John.
