ZDP-189 Lum Chinese folder.

I've never even held one, but it is already my dream spyderco! I would have to go with a dark red handle this time around!
 
Till now I have avoided the Lum Chinese, but I just LOVE the tantos. Now with all this attention over the Chinese, I find myself growing to like it. Funny, that is what happens with unusual Spydercos. So, my vote is for an almite version in any colour, but with the spiderweb laser etching,
 
I'll tell ya what - the idea of a new Lum in ZDP-189 (either Chinese or tanto) is so appealing to me, and this thread so impressive, I was forced to register and chime-in. :)

My long-time EDC (hehe) is a Calypso Jr. in VG-10. I have 5 Spydercos among a relatively modest collection of custom and production knives.

While voting closed last week, the continued show of support here only increases the chance that Spyderco may actually do this! :D

I own 4 spyderco knives, and for some strange reason I ended up with 3 of them being chinese folders (green and blue, plain and serrated, the 4th one is a toad), but I would be happy to add another chinese folder with natural type3 hard-anodized scales and solid zdp189 blade as well as an additional chinese folder with mandarin yellow scales and laminated zdp189 blade to the collection. :D

Keeping this thread bumped up so Mr. Glessar can see how much we want this.

Only thing that sounds more fun than hoping it gets made, will be waiting to get one after it goes in to a sprint run.
 
The Lum Chinese is one of the best looking knives I have seen, especially in plain edge! I believe a dark red or a golden yellow would be ideal for a sprint run. Com on Sal, you know it'd make a lot of people happy! :D
 
Sal if you read this far into the thread, I commend you for valuing the feedback of your customers/fans/Spyderknuts. I have yet to see a company that caters to its followers the way your company does. I am impressed.

I would like to formally cast my vote for a new Lum Chinese folder. I don't care which color handle. I have a Green Lum chinese now, and the green might not have been my first choice, but once you see it, you know its the right color.
