"custom electrical arc blade finish - $100"

See exactly! lolWell, I mean, the blade IS already ruined, hard to make it any worse!
Yeah that's usually several thousand degrees in a few milliseconds. Enough to melt the steel as you see in the pic. That's also copper from the wires melted onto the blade. I also have a pair of kleins with involuntary stripping holes because of a special idiot I was working with. This was 120 volts, you should see the results of 277/480 volt arc, woo boy.
Don't ever loan your knife. And whoever you loaned it to owes you a new one.
Pshhh, that will buff right out.
LOL damn! Who cuts through a still plugged in power cord?!?

Did somebody say 277/480?

Hello Jarrod,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us. In response to your email, all of our quality knives carry a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects to the original owner whom may send the knife to us for evaluation and possible repair or replacement. The warranty does not cover normal signs of wear from use, a blade break due to improper use such as prying, dropping or damages incurred while using the knife in a capacity for which it was not designed. If your knife blade broke under these circumstances, we offer a broken blade replacement service in which you have the option to send your knife in with a check for $10.00USD made out to Kershaw knives and we will replace the blade for you ($30.00USD for any ZT knife).
If you decide to send the knife in for warranty service, please follow these steps:
1) Wrap your knife safely and securely to prevent the blade from being damaged in the shipping package. Include in the shipping package your safely wrapped Kershaw as well as a completely copy of the "WARRANTY AND SHARPENING REQUEST FORM". You can locate and print the form at our website, under the WARRANTY link of our home page at http://kershaw.kaiusaltd.com/warranty/process-claim.
2) Please send ATTN: WARRANTY DEPARTMENT to 18600 SW. Teton Ave. Tualatin, OR 97062.
We suggest sending the knife to us via U.P.S, Federal Express or Certified Mail. Shipping any of these ways will provide a tracking number to verify your packages arrival at our facility. Allow up to four weeks for processing and return delivery. We will pay the cost of shipping the merchandise back to you when we have completed our process with your knife(s).
Now that I'm re-reading it, does that mean $40 total in my case? The wording has me confused.
Awesome news, just heard back:
I confirmed that it applies even though the 0560 is discontinued and she said yes since they still have some blades. Not many so she said to send it in sooner rather than later.

Speaking of 480......was working on an electric duct heater yesterday. 3 phase, 100 amp MONSTER!! The heater has 3 HUGE contactors and when they pull in you can hear it 100' away!!
Been doing control circuit work in HVAC for 40 years and I'm very comfortable with current.......but trying to concentrate when that nasty HUMMMMMMMMMM is humming is a bit disconcerting!!!
