Beware of nirvanero

Thanks for telling us, but ... we try to avoid cross-forum drama.
Let's hope we don't get a flood of strangers joining in the fun.

Thanks, I just that thought I would hate to do a deal over there, then if it goes bad, to find out about this thread and wonder why no one said anything over there.

Hope it doesn't cause any extra trouble, but as mentioned here, if people would have left feedback this could have been averted. I had no dog in this fight but if no one else will speak up over there, I'm willing to take the consequences :)

You aren't the one who would be taking the consequences. I have seen the foodfights that follow when one forum rallies the fools to invade another.

I sincerely hope things get worked out for the two individuals involved, however I fear this thread has done much more damage than good to that process:thumbdn:

Benya was logged in here against last night, can understand why he's not taking care of this.

At the end of the day, we live by "a deal isn't a deal unless both sides are happy" and he knows that.

Since there has been some speculation about members leaving unwarranted positive feedback for Benya, and considering that I am one of the most recent to do so, I will chime in:

I did a purchase from him a couple of weeks ago without issue, I paid and he shipped right away, and the items were as described.

On the other hand, this deal with nirvanero does appear to be a real mess :(

No doubt on both points. The thing is that when your chips are down, that is when you need to prove yourself. His absence from the last several pages of this thread is troubling. Especially when you consider that HE STARTED THE THREAD. JMHO

Also considering that he has been on line the last 2 days in a row and knows exactly what is going on. The silence here is deafening.

I think everyone involved would like benya, Igor to come back to this thread and explain himelf and/or to make this deal right. $120 bucks or whatever they agree upon is nothing compared to one's own reputation. A small amount of money doesn't mean that much in the long run.

So, would it be wise to leave him negative feedback from my trade with Igor? (the one where I traded a dmt aligner and lm wave for a LNIB bm 710, he didn't like the aligner so I bought it back from him and when the 710 came, it was clearly used and carried)

I should also note the aligner hasn't arrived yet, but the 710 took two weeks to get here so we'll see what happens with that.

I'd guess that Igor's reputation is pretty much shot now regardless of what he does.

Are you going to keep the 710 or are you undoing the whole deal?
If I was you I would ask him to undo it and pay for your shipping costs, too, since he cannot claim you misled him about the condition of the DMT (he misled you about the condition of the 710, too).

you can have 55 positive feedbacks, 100 good deals, 1000 perfect trades, but your reputation is only as good as your LAST trade. It only takes one time to ruin a reputation years in the making. It looks like this is benya's one time...

I'm back from the weekend and read some really elegant comment. Maybe this thread got too big and people just reads "beware of nirvanero" and automatically thinks I'm the bad guy, I don't know.

What else I can say? I told Mark even if he's been selling to him without a problem, it's not the same as buying from him. As I understand that's what he does, buying for a later selling. Anyway, 55 positive feedback is only possible if you lie once in a while, but it seems he's lied too much for a honest guy who wants to reach an agreement with me. Why in the world he told us he didn't have the photos while having a post in other forum?

He's not contacting me anymore, just waiting everyone forgets this. Igor, don't you think that you should make yourself a big favour reaching an agreement? Maybe that way you could make somebody think you made a mistake and didn't know that knife was re-sharpened... but acting this way what do you expect?

Have you tried emailing him privately? If not I would suggest you try to email him privately then post back if you two can't come to an agreement. I hope you all get it worked out.
