Idiots on eBay - Classiccutleryusa

He'll rip you're lungs out, Jim . . . but his hair was PERFECT!

I also understand that his 2x4 technique is PERFECT as well.

Go Wolfster, go! :D

While some days I wish I could use a 2X4, in Hopkinton they have a superbly professional and well trained Police Department.

So I'll just use a Taser!!!!:D;):D

My son just got tased in order to carry one on duty and it is the funniest I have ever seen, ever.

Reinforces my opinion that Tasers are great fun for the good guys!!!

A woman officer I know had to get tased to carry one also, and I love her quote afterwards...."I've had 3 kids, and I would have a 4th before I do that again" :D

So many GOOD dealers out there: knifeworks, newgraham, knivesplus, gpknives,knivesshipfree,..... I"ve had wonderful experiences with all of them.

Patronize the right people who do right by you. Everybody wins.

I thought Diamdave's post needed to be repeated... the second best statement on this thread. (The best being the advice to stay the hell away from classiccutleryusa!)

How can I get on their blocked list? I would hate to inadvertantly buy something from them.

Buy something from them, have the wrong item sent, ask why, get bitched out by them, complain to ebay and paypal, start a thread about shitty knife dealers on a knife forum with over 100,000 members, have them come onto said forum and try to defend themselves while just looking like complete jerks, file a complaint with the Postmaster General and the Attorney General, get your money back, sit back, relax and wait for them to tell you you can't order from them anymore...

...Simple! :D

I just read this thread in its entirety and felt compelled to send this email to Square Trade.

As a long time collector of high end knives I cannot believe that you continue to endorse ClassicCutleryUSA. As a result of your continued support of CCA, your seal has come to mean absolutely nothing among a huge portion of the online knife collecting community. Condscending AND arrogant. You left out "arrogant".

"Illiterinet" is the term we use around here to describe most of the online world, what should have been a wonderful means of exchanging information, but has instead become heavily populated by inbreds who should not even be allowed to own a tool so magnificent as a computer, clogging the world's e-mailboxes with their keyboard-character angels and teddy bears, ignorant warnings of non-existent viruses, non-missing missing children, and ridiculously animated jokes and "emoticons" (the use of which are merely a banner announcing that the emoticon-user has so little grasp of written communication that he/she must resort to the use of little pictures to describe emotions, like some Illiterinet version of a fast-food employee's cash register.) Some even post massively tedious run-on sentences in reply to ludicrous rhetorical questions, but I digress...

One can only hope such participants will eventually have the good sense to donate their computers to a local school where they might provide some benefit to the world, but again I digress...

The steel issue is irrelevant to this thread. We've already addressed it with Mr. Sneed, but of course he chose to respond with more abuse and lecturing. Interesting how we're regarded as "condescending", but Mr. Sneed's abusive comments and rhetoric are not.

Illiterinet, indeed.

Bump this up, what an a$$.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

After 2 weeks of hasle with classic cutlery I decided to google them...

WOW

Wish I had done it before especially being a member here!

you can follow the rules like everyone else. It really doesn't matter to us. We'll either get paid properly and complete the transaction, or we'll wait the requisite 7 days to file an Unpaid Item claim against your eBay account to recover our eBay fees, as we do with all deadbeat bidders. It's really that simple.

I pasted the above from an earlier post and its virtually word for word what I got, perhaps it is his now standaard reply to the hundreds of complaints he is getting.

Oh yes and he has filed a none payment against me despite the fact Im $280 out still, so I have escalated a paypal claim.

The story is I bought this "buy it now" so I didnt have to wait 5-6 days fort he auction to end and by doing so paid more than I prob would have needed to but shipping speed was important and he states we ship every day!

80110cks 2 weeks later????

Also diversifying a bit I believe to be in Square Trade you need to pay a subscription, perhaps this is why they are so reluctant to cancel Dave's membership!

Time will tell if I win my paypal claim, perhaps I should "ask my Mother" ;)

E-bay have today informed me that they will NOT be awarding Classic Cutlery an unpaid item strike against me!:)

Clearly his "you didn't pay" didn't work!:)

Perhaps if they spent less time "walking in the White Mountains" they would fill and post more orders on time!

Hey, Hoooray for you! It's the right thing. What and a pain to have gone through so much aggravation over the whole affair.

Needless to say, I for one will not be awarding Classic Cutlery with any of my business but I will pass the word whenever there's an opportunity.

Today a Paypal victory, funds returned :), now just need Dave to send me the return shipping fees of $199 USD inc Insurance. As he said...

Well now the shoe is on the other foot and I hold all the cards and I had to pay a customs charge of £46+ ($90+) because someone put the wrong value on the box which I didnt find out till after paying the tax to get the box.

To which he now got my standard reply, after threatening me with postal fraud...

**Please do not respond to this email.**

Lets see how he likes being messed around for a month or more!

I think the asshat's out back in the alley tooting up. That's probably the only White Mountain he's ever seen.
