Modular Leather Becker Sheaths(Pic Heavy) *UPDATE*

Wow goose, these are just gorgeous. It's probably a good thing that you don't live in Europe because you'd be giving me a hard time trying not to buy one like this for my bk-9...

Looks really, really good Goose. Gotta say, I love how it all came out.

Simply AWESOME work !!! I really think I would want one for my BK2, BK7 & BK9. Elegant, purposefull, well designed & Heavy Duty. One of the VERY few that seem to meet those specs. Time to start saving some money ! :D I also like the idea that someone stated to make 2 pouches on the BK9 sheath. Maybe have one a side opening pouch with the flap pointing to the rear, so it does not come unsnapped if pushing through brush. Same with the handle retension snap.

Are we any closer to being able to put in an order for one of the BK9 sheaths?

Also, I just looked through the thread again and couldn't find the post with the tentative pricing. Did I just miss it, or did you edit it out Goose? If it's the latter, any updates would be much appreciated. Us po' po' pitiful poor folks gotta budget dontcha know. :)

Tentative pricing is around $90 for the BK2 sheath main platform and belt loop. The BK9 Sheath and belt loop will be around $110. The altoids tin pouch and firesteel loop panel will be $30.

These prices are estimates of material and labor, and may change before the release date.

There ya go Blues.

Wow. Very impressive. I love the concept. Would you be able to attach an altoid pouch and a horizontal carry system onto the same bk2 sheath?

and I missed this thread how?? dude, absolutely awesome !!! hats off man I'm beside myself contemplating.. :D

Bladite said it best, you really could make knives with and around those sheaths of yours.. very professional..........

UPDATE: I am getting my die cutting press setup this week along with placing an order for the BK2 sheath cutting dies. My timeline had a slight step back due to a last minute order from the Air Force's SERE program. This order was for sheaths for the Turley Z-SERE knife. This was a huge opportunity for me so I had to jump on it. Here is more info on it -

Turley Knives - Z-SERE knives

Here was that order.

Anywho, I will keep you guys updated on the progress over the next couple of weeks. I intend to have at least 3 complete BK2 sheaths(with the front pouch) ready when I start taking orders. They will be sold on a first come first serve basis, all others will be on order.

Sooo....here is some eye candy for you guys. :D This was a custom order I just finished for a Kabar. It gave me a chance to see how the modular design worked with knives narrower than the Becker knives. This will give you an idea of what I have planned or the Becker sheaths. The complete order was for the Kabar sheath platform, Vertical Belt Loop, MOLLE Attachment Panel, and a Front Panel Pouch and Firesteel loop.
