Well, his membership for a start, then there are the people that he attracts to the site to buy Busse knives....no doubt some of them become members as well, paying a fee to the site....

And you think that the number of people who chose to become paying members here because of any individual member is significant? :D
(not including actual makers).

Hey Esav, mind if I join you. It would be great to spend some time with someone intelligent.

Samael, Esav
Bastid, the goats
the ugly the bad the good
an evil old time with a jug of rum and Scotch for those who like it

the Knife Exchange
and all deranged
as life brings not
what they wish they got

the blood of sacrifice
whose behavior isn't nice
so troll him up and see him run
then whistle up the hammer and get him banned for fun

That's a pretty crappy response for Members wanting to express their views here.

Seems to be the basic reply whenever one stands their ground. If they don't bend, they're trolls.

384 posts in this thread alone and you are griping about members wanting to express their views.

Let me see if I've got this straight: You've been here for less than a year, have fewer than 500 posts, but you're an expert on how things work around here?

Fail.

Let me see if *I've* got this straight. You've got someone like LK here doing what he's doing. And, now, you want to make what I've got to say about it more important?

Fail, indeed.

If you'd like to start something with me, let's get a whole new thread going and I'll be there. No reason to distract from LK and whether or not he's getting special consideration/s.

Who knows, the Busse fans are like a cult...People may come for one reason and join for others- maybe they like reading the snarky replies from people who think they have all the answers....

OK, let's make it about LK, wise guy. What rule has he broken? I'm not defending the guy; he's a POS. But whether you like it or not, until you own the forum, being a POS isn't a bannable offense. Deal with it.

once again the rights of the few (one)
outweigh the rights of the many

I guess my 20 or 30 dollar membership
doesnt get the same weight as a 200 dollar membership

(never mind me,Im just pissed)

when shipping something which cost 700 bucks, who doesnt buy insurance? That's just bad thinking on the shipper's part! The knife packaging is also horrible and when saftey becomes an issue, my confidence in that person goes way way way down!

As I've already stated, I truly believe that collecting monies for a service and not providing that service may be illegal. *If* that illegal activity is resulting from sales on this forum, I really feel that, alone, is grounds for banning, especially if it's happened multiple times.

Deal with it? It's being dealt with via this thread, so that others are better informed before deciding who to buy their knives from.

Not trying to be a jerk, but scan the forum and see how many complaints directed towards mods there are in various threads for various reasons. Now look at how many thanks they get for doing a very time consuming and, I'm guessing at this but with a fair amount certainty, unpaid/underpaid job. I can't really blame them if they look at some of those complaints and just think 'troll'. As long as they don't issue you an infraction I don't think there's too much reason to complain.

No, it's not illegal. Just unethical. And you're right, that's precisely the purpose of this thread. Call him out for it - that's cool. Just leave the mods and BFC out of it.

I believe it is illegal. We'll just have to agree to disagree. Still, "unethical", shouldn't that be enough for some sort of disciplinary action, especially if it appears to be intentional?

How can we leave BFC out of it when questions have continually been asked of why LK's been allowed to continue his practices? It's not about "aggravation". It's about tactics. As for the Mods, hey, I didn't start with the "troll" crap.

Now, take off your knee pads and get back in your cage. I'm sure you'll be rewarded for your "support", later.

I passed the bar exam in 1978; think I might know what's illegal a little more than you.

Where in the rules is "unethical" a bannable offense? Show me, or STFU.

Knee pads? Better put on the athletic cup if you want to get it on with me, boy-o.
