Bad Survive! Deserves A Permanent Post In The Hall Of Shame

How does one go about getting a refund from Survive when I can’t seem to get ahold of them? Wish I saw this post 7+ months ago when I ordered something that was “90 days out,” that keeps getting delay after delay. I’m sure it’s been answered how to do the refund but I don’t have the time to read through this many pages at the moment. I’ve been calling and texting every couple days for the past few weeks to inquire on the order and now I see they’ve dropped their latest video explaining this additional delay, and it seems like I won’t be seeing this knife anytime soon.
Tell them you are posting on social media about trying to get a refund. Say if they do not respond you will contact your bank/credit card. Say that you will be filling a BBB complaint and contacting their local AG.

Public pressure is the only thing that works with these criminals. They count on being able to control the narrative with more lies, which is why the don't come here to defend themselves (no control). If they think you will start trouble, they'll refund to shut you up. The only way their way of life gets disrupted is if too bright of light shines on how they actually operate, and they know it. Survive are deliberate con-artists. They know how to keep the con going. Give just enough refunds and send out just enough product to keep the wolves at bay and money still coming in the door.

Just in case anyone forgot…

They put up an image of being transparent showing all the steps of the manufacturing process, the knives look good, they use Peter's heat treat. I get that they have a past of taking pre orders and not delivering, this is why I'm asking you guys "what other horrible things are they doing" As I'm assuming you've been taking part in this thread for the last 7 years, and should be able to sum it up easily.
Oh? Did they finally release video showing Guy or someone working there at his shop using those machines to produce knives? Link please? Thanks!

And now that they seem to have started the biz back up, what happens if you got to their youtube channel and ask them to deliver?

Thanks for the answer, I'm just curious, I've always been interested in the businesses that fail... especially small business because the founders get really weird. Now is that the extent of their lying? or are lying about heat treat and other quality issues?

They no longer offer Delta 3V on their knives, which they claim was for business reasons, and Guy also implied in comments he made that "Eh, D3V isn't THAT much better than good ole 3V, so it's not a big deal anyway"....despite the fact that many people whose orders still haven't been fulfilled from years ago, ordered their knives in D3V, meaning they objectively and technically won't ever get what they paid for. Guy is a scumbag, and his knives are entirely pedestrian. I've owned a couple, and they do absolutely (and I mean this objectively) nothing better than other knives in the "outdoorsy/Bushcraftjer/Campcraft cosplay" genre on the market.

This may actually be a legit delay. (Shocked face)

The Magnacut knives show decarbonization, which from what I read:View attachment 2061513

That's so odd. Are S?K not using Peters' Heat Treat anymore? Let me guess, another cost cutting measure, as they attempt to learn how to do it themselves at their shop? LOL Guy's incompetence is endlessly entertaining. This post from them is either an admission that they're using some fly-by-night place like Ernie's HeatTreat and Transmission Repair in order to put as much money in their pockets per knife, or else, it's an admission of their incompetence and inability to properly heat treat knives*. Whichever it is, you pick. Either way, it's more clownshow comedy from the fixed-blade felon running that joint.

* Which is a laugh of spectacular proportions considering these bums have been in "business" for over a decade.

Per the latest video, the claim is that Peters followed the prescribed treatment set by the manufacturers, but the blanks decarburized.

I dunno. I have a custom in Magnacut that was treated by them, and it's outstanding.

I owned a 5.1 (purchased secondhand) for a brief spell. Knife wasn’t terrible, but definitely not great and nowhere near CPK’s level. I had to get rid of it, because I couldn’t sleep knowing it resided in the same domicile as me.

So, basically they're blaming Peters for this. That's awesome, another instance where they're blaming one of their vendors. At least it's yet another sign that they aren't doing anything inhouse other than bolting together parts and blade blanks made by others. "We make our own knives!" I have yet to see a single video or even a picture where Guy is cutting a blank or grinding a stamped blank, stamped from a machine he or one of his employees ran. These dudes aren't making jack.

Lol @ Guy and his felonious funhouse of smoke and mirrors.

and Guy also implied in comments he made that "Eh, D3V isn't THAT much better than good ole 3V, so it's not a big deal anyway"....
Not just that, he basically said his knives are more refined and better cutters than others that use the D3V treatment. Guy always takes the opportunity to put down and blame anyone else to avoid the spot light on his own poor actions.

Since Guy aka SurviveKinives! makes boutique knives- Any chance Guy tweaked the Magnacut Heat treat and screwed the pooch in the process? That makes more sense than a known entity Peters screwing up a process oriented procedure.

It’s pretty easy to find if you google survive knives YouTube. But I’m convinced, he succumbed to scumbaggery multiple times, that bbb thing is not that hard to clear up if you just respond to your customers, which he does not.
