tundratrader I got tired of begging for money.
I give tundratrader two days. For a refund.
If he does not return the money.
I'll go to the American Consulate.
And I will ask for help.
And I will write to the Internal Revenue Service United States.
I don `t know how else to return my money.

Those emails are hard to figure out, at least give the thread Moderator an original.

I think I saw enough. Give up whatever information you have about the trasaction to someone, the buyer, a moderator whatever. You have seemingly not shared your end of it. I am with 5.56, you have an oblugation to prove you sent it. If you send $600+ anything in the mail in a hail mary, than maybe this is the lesson you need to remidy that FVcf Up. Someone has to see the customs number, the payment transaction number, the receipt, the flight it.went out on, whatever.

There is no excuse for this. You either must prove you had a transaction at the post office for a given ammount going to Russia or you are not shooting straight and your tenure here means nothing. Do you think for some.reason, given the.members posting in ur defense (or reasonable doubt) and tenure give you a pass to brush someone off simply because you are stateside and he is from Russia?

If that were my $600 you damn sure owe me an explanation more legal than your word alone. You can be sure of that.

I'm sorry but right now 4:00 am.
We must get some sleep before work.
Say goodbye to all until tomorrow.
Thank you all for your help and support.

I showed a small portion of the correspondence.
And it proves that tundratrader know. Where and by whom I work.
And the concealed information. What can I buy myself a rickhindererknives. (Without intermediary)
And now he says he did not know this information.
A lot of lies.

P.S.
$ 650
This is my monthly salary.
And it's very big money for me.

You both did things the wrong way an expected them to turn out right, I think you both realize that now.

. I might not have thought to do that to a Russian.

Thats wierd but smart.

TT made a mistake. It ends up being a very costly mistake but let's not jump all over his back and crucify him at the stake. I'll be the first to admit that I lack organization sometimes and can
fully understand a receipt being misplaced. He's been a upstanding member for a while with a good track record. With both these guys being firefighters Im sure Rick or Rob would be willing
to work with them on getting Kroman an knife. An XM 3.5 with the discount is around $400. It's a little less than having to refund the full amount. So hopefully TT and Kroman can find a compromise and work this deal out.

And Kroman your not innocent in all this either. If you want to buy from the U.S. it would be wise not to undervalue items. TT did what you wanted and put himself in a bad situation.

The emails aren't clear. It looks to me as you knew and were fine with the undervaluing. Is this true?

TT you say you gave him the customs #. I assume that's through email, so why won't you post it here? It should be somewhere in your email records unless you regularly delete your sent items folder. That would pretty much resolve the burden of proof issue, and then it comes down to who's responsible for the lack of proper insurance.

I tried to insure something going overseas for value+shipping and they wouldn't even let me do that, so they definitely wont let you insure for more than declared value.

Last poster made a good point...
''TT you say you gave him the customs #. I assume that's through email, so why won't you post it here? ''

Does the buyer or seller no longer have the email with the customs form # in it?
I was wondering the same thing. The emails kromanm posted looked like parts were left out.

This is the email that had me wondering if the entire email was being posted.Does nor seem that this would be all of the reply.

It's quite a few $$ less after the first responder discount is applied to these prices:

XM Folder Retail Prices

XM-18 3" Production Model $385.00 - less discount
XM-18 3.5" Production Model $385.00 - less discount
XM-24 Production $550.00 - less discount

This is weird...

If TT is truly a firefighter and cares about his reputation, that would have been reflected in his own personal standards and how he handles things, holding himself up to a certain high standard that prevents himself from setting himself up to fail.

If he followed proven sets of procedures that has been plastered upon this forum on what to do and not do when shipping out of this country and showed tracking evidences of it leaving America, then this rock slide of a thread would have not have hit him due to his sets of actions (i.e. receipts, tracking number, etc) that prevented himself from being impacted by events out of his control. I've learned that having a safety net is our best friend when it comes to the internet and I'm not a firefighter. And he claimed to be a long time paying member on here so why did he not practice this forum's etiquette expectations if he has sold "thousand dollars worth of knives and flashlights"? It shouldn't be hard if he already practices high standards. In fact, it would have fit each other like gloves.

But he didn't do that. Makes me wonder what his personal standards are like on forum or out in the community if he allowed himself to perform such low standard choices.

No, he shot himself very cleanly in the foot in this case.

It's the internet. We have to go the extra miles more just to prove that we're reliable, dependable, and not a subtle con artist that selects victims thinking they can get away with it once in a while.

Yes!!

*grabs another handfull of popcorn* (sorry) This is a touchy situation truely hard to pick a side here without all the facts. I sure hope this gets resolved soon. I know I would never put myself in a situation that could lead to this as a seller. Same as a buyer, saving some money is hardly worth the risks even if he was talked into being ok with it marked as a low value camping tool you have to watch yourself. I used to sell and buy alot of stuff on ebay and was always stressed about something like this happening.
