What's your survivla knife??

Early 80's vintage Uncle Henry Old Timer, or Syderco Endura in my pocket about town, Case western Bowie or Cold Steel Trailmaster Bowie in my car or backpack, or hip if out in the woods.

The one that I'm most likely to have with me is my Buck 110.

but hte way i travel is the hossum on my water pack on my back and the temperance pe on the left and the se on the right. overkill but love those temps. the MK2 is a hard one to leave behind but the temp will out perform the MK2 i most cases. great thread:cool:

There are many survival knives in my gear but the two knives that I ALWAYS have with me are the Victorinox Explorer and the Kershaw Blackout. In the truck there is always a big Ontario Spec Plus Knife. Either the Spec Plus Survival Knife or the Marine knife.

My big survival knife is a Busse battle Mistress for chopping, & a Busse BATAC, Swamp Rat Howling Rat- for skinning , & a Strider AR folder! thats all In my Big BOB Bag!!!

In my Urban survival Bag of Evil, I have my Busse HellRazor, ScrapYard Dumpster Mutt, & my Strider GB folder & Guns & ammo!:D

HB, what do you have on you 24/7? That's the knife you WILL have on you no matter what.

CRKT M-16 Military
Surefire G2
A small ferro rod and mag bar with hacksaw blade striker (the whole thing goes in the small black pouch and is on my key chain)
Butane Lighter (Well used)

When I am on a SAR mission its A Busse BATAC coupled with either a Busse Active Duty or the skeleton Swamp Rat. No one seems to know what this thing is called.

Currently the BATAC rides in a Dropleg rig made by Okuden. I added a pouch that carries more firemaking goods and the Rat.

A Mora 2000 and a Leatherman wave. The latter I always wear and the Mora is always with me in the bush.

Hog butcher and james 61, you guys both have a great set up. All bases covered.

LM charge or surge (surge is down at the moment though, used it on the scene of a wreck and melted it. some grinding should fix it though)

Always a BM 710 or Presidio 5k.

Anytime I'm away from the pavement I have the slightly modded Kbar USMC.

:D EDC RAT3 & LM WAVE...LM sheath is attachet to the rat sheath and tec-loc on the rat sheath attacthed to belt :D

My Leatherman Wave is my constant companion, and my Mora #510 is always with me when I'm hiking, fishing, or camping:

never leave home with out the pictured knives plus a few more. knife nut i know but most of them will stay with my heavy pack except the ones pictured . i also have a mora carbon clipper 2 stainless mora's and a mora hattchet with me at all times i like to practice or stay condtioned to carrying extra weight. plus im always trying diffrent bushcraft survival skills that i read about hear and else where. thats why so many always like to see how each knife preforms the jobs at hand so when the time comes for only 1 i will know whats best for me.

When I venture into the woods, I ALWAYS have a Hossom modified Ontario 18 inch machete in a leather sheath. Such a tool can be used to dig, chop, smash, slice and defend your life if need be. It is a great comfort and a wonderful tool for a variety of applications. Over the years I've tried numerous knives and cutlery combinations, but I still some back to the properly reprofiled machete. It is a winner.
