I spent $879.99, look what I got

I think it might be a good idea to tell him you're just going to send all the stuff you did get back and you want a full refund.

I know you have your heart set on a Scarab though so you can also tell him you want a refund for the first one still expect to
get the bits for the second one to make the full knife you are still owed.

Don't let him try and call any shots. You're the one loosing out here, not him.

Remember, he is not a private individual, selling to cover costs or at a loss. He is a retailer, selling to make a profit.

And from what has transpired, he certainly should have lost your trust.

Dear Sir,
I don't think that Paypal will investigate your account until I turn the dispute into a claim (which is 20 days later since the day I opend the dispute), and if the dispute is closed, I can not open it again. As you have used Paypayl for much longer time than I do, I assume you known those things.
It seems to me that you just want me to close the dispute to leave me no protection. I have had enough of your word and promise, they are not a guarantee anymore. I trusted you and gave you enough time to make things up, but I am disappointed again and again about the result.
I don't want to waste more time or money, let's just end this, since you don't want let Paypal involve to decide.

As you are not going to send me anything, I'm so sorry to say I would send what I received back to you and ask for refund.
I will send them with tracking number to make sure you receive them.
Here's the list:
Two Microtech knife boxes
Two Microtech knife sheaths
Two warranty paper
Half of a Microtech Scarab double edge knife
One blue hook with "We appreciate your business" written on it (I didn't order it, I know it's a gift but I'm not going to keep it)

All the items above are the same as when they came to me.
The total amount is 479.99+400-11=868.99 dollors( 479.99 for the first Scarab, 400 for the second Scarab, -11 for your shipping fee)
If you disagree with anything I said, I'm willing to hear your opinion.

Please provide me your address to receive the package.

Good choice!

I certainly hope this all works out for you. Its unfortunate that you had to go through all this.
The sad part is he doesn't care about you as a customer at all, however he is very concerned with losing his paypal account.
With any luck that will happen because its obvious he is just a thief and a liar...

Look at it positively, this transaction would rank right up at the top of the worst, so the next one has to be better

Mingyu,

are you sending your messages via the PayPal system ???????

I dont have PP but from what others have said its better that everything is documented to cover you the CUSTOMER.

The picture would make Paypal very interested for sure in the SELLER.

BUT.....................does anyone know PP stance on customers buying knives/ weapons ???????.

So does all this text mean no you won't cancel that? A simple no would suffice. I do not need more terms at gunpoint - it doesn't work with me. Everyday people are trying to steal from me and force me to do things. I do not work with those people. Right now you are attempting to steal - you know I sent those items... So cancel the dispute and I will send of my own accord to you or don't - I am telling you right now though although it may cost me that paypal account you will not win with paypal. They do not reverse transaction on the charge you placed just mediate discussion. So keep the dispute open and you are going to save me the obligation of keeping a promise to you because of your hostal actions. Understand?

1. I have said "no" for two times and I explained why I said no. You just ignored. And here's the third time, no, I'm not going to close the dispute because I didn't get the full item until now.

2. You said everybody's stealing from you, that is your liberty of speech. BUT, You Can Never Say I Am Attempting To Steal! I care about my reputation and I won't let you to violate it. You'd better take back your words and say sorry.

3. I asked you for receipts from sending the items, but you NEVER showed them to me, you just ignore my request. I misplaced my trust on you and I orderd again, I even reminded and asked you to take pictures to show you send the item, you agreed. Do you need me to provide your reply to help you recall? However, the result is "NO Receipt, No Picture". How do you plan to explain that? Please don't ignore this question again!
Except the things I have recieved, I can NEVER Know if you have really sent those other items since you never proved it to me, so what make you think I know you sent them?

4. I'm always being gentle to you and never force you to do things, I asked for your opinion and agreement everytime. I also give you enough time and chances before I open the dispute and before I ask for refund. You didn't take the time or the chances, that's your own choice.

5. Instead, I feel that you are forcing me to do things by threatening me that I can not win with PayPal. But please notice, I don't care if I win, I care if I do the right thing. What I have done and what I'm doing now are based on truth. I believe Paypal will hold the justice. Please bear in mind, neither you or me is the one who makes the final decision, the one who makes decision is truth.

6. To answer your question at the end of your email: I DO NOT understand.

That guy is losing customers every time he answers to your e-mails, mingyu.
However PayPal should see these messages, I do not think you got the point I made several times: do not use regular e-mail, use PayPal Resolution Center.
For example, his last message would already qualify for him to lose his account.
Plus he is lying to you, first PP mediates the dispute, then when you escalate to a claim they will refund you unless he can prove you received any of your orders.

Mingyu,
I think he is bluffing you and is more concerned about losing his ability to deal through Paypal than he is letting on. Send the items back right away and make sure besides tracking that you add a Signature Confirmation so he has to sign for it in addition to the tracking.

At this stage it is better to get back the $400 from Paypal than nothing. AFTER you receive the $400 dollars back if he doesn't refund the other $400 for the first knife then make sure you notify Paypal that he is selling illegal switchblades in violation of Paypal policies. Keep notifying Paypal on a weekly basis and get as many of your friends who use Paypal to do the same. if he loses the ability to use Paypal it will hurt his business and will force him to allow use of credit cards by his buyers which have much more buyer protection.

If you want maximum protection always use a CREDIT card, even through Paypal. Good luck.

Hi LorenzoL, thank you for always help me with advice!
I followed your advice. The seller never write me through paypal resolution center, but everytime I put his email and my reply to paypal resolution center. Sorry for letting you worried.

Tell him you will return all the items he sent you and that you want all your money
back. Make it clear that you are quite happy to take it as far as it needs to go.

This is just a classic:

Yea, its you doing the stealing.... sure

After I read mixed reviews of PVK, I want to say like I said on other forum:

I didn't get my knife from him, that does not mean he is 100% a cheater.
You got your knife from him, that does not mean he is 100% always right.

My opinion is: Nobody can never make mistakes, he is a person like everybody else who is right most time and sometimes makes mistakes.
However, the important point to judge a person is not about whether he makes mistakes, the most important point is what he will do when there's a mistake. Also his manner and attitude.

I want to ask will anyone close a Paypal dispute before you receive anything from a seller? And since a dispute don't cause investigation yet, why does the seller keep asking you to close it before he's sending anything to you?

I like knives not troubles, I collect knives for fun not for money.
I hope everyone here can get what they like and have fun.

Thank you alex for your advice.
I need him to agree to receive the package first, I don't want to send it when he refuses to sign to receive. That will be a waste of time and money.
I don't have a credit card so I can't use it to send money.

This Joshua guy sure has some nerve. I sincerely feel sorry for anyone who ever supports this very bad business guys business.

Mingyu, your the type of customer that good sellers can only hope for. This seller obviously doesnt value good buyer/seller relationships. His lack of communication until your dispute says it all. He thinks you opening a VERY VALID dispute now justifies him to act all high and mighty? WOW, I dont know what planet this guy think he is from, last time I checked it was Earth.

$879.99 he got from you, you got nothing worth a damn & now he thinks he has a right to take that tone? OMFG this guy really is something. He should be kissing your ass.

If paypal doesnt give you what is rightfully yours than Im gonna start a knife drive for you man. Props for being such a cool guy, Im taking notes :D

There are no words to describe how bad I feel for you!!! I wish I HAD the knife that you want, I would just give it to you.

I can't believe that this guy has the nerve and audacity to take THAT kind of tome with you. I agree, he should be kissing you ass. I also hope you get your money back from Pay Pal.

Thank you for your kind words, I'll update every progress.

I'm curious, is he an authorized MT dealer ?
If he supposedly has over 100 knives , I would think he would be.
I don't know anything about MT, but they may be interested in knowing about this guys practices as well....

And yes, he is just trying to call your bluff to get you to drop the claim. In my opinion, you have nothing to lose by keeping it open

I'm sorry about my experience with PVK.com.
