There is still a ton of A.T.R Titaniums left, along with stainless and black, priced from $22.00-$26.00, 96 Navigators for $22.00 each, Prides for $14 and 12 Emerson Commanders for $26.50 and a few of the blue DoDo for under $30. Who knows if they're real.

I just placed an order for 1 Almite R2, Almite Coated Aluminum Handle, Plain (132636|C67GYP) for $14.27
1 A.T.R., Stainless Handle, Plain (73847|C70P) $22.57
Shipping & Handling (Free Shipping Options) : $0.00
Tax (NH) : $0.00

Sounds to good to be true. If it is for real wow!

I ordered a Spyderco A.T.R. Titanium $26.00
Spyderco Manix c95 34.00
Benchmade Commander 23.00
_____
total $83.00

I'm guessing I can get my money back from google if something is up.

I'd be real surprised if you guys don't lose some money on these "deals". If I'm wrong, I'll eat crow.

I've tried to contact a few sites like this one before, which had listed disco'd knives, never got a reply. I at least feel a little better since someone is communicating with us.

I have seen knock off Emerson Comanders on Ebay, with the Emerson logo on the blades. The real Emersons use philips screws to hold the G10 scales, the knock offs use hex head screws:eek:

At the risk of advertising for myself (and I sincerely hope I am not!!).. each item people have ordered has in it's description a "Product average shipping time" which is supplied as part of the product data from the suppliers.. Lets say we have an average shipping time of 2-3 business days.. on the 4th day I will be cancelling my orders with the suppliers in question if they have not been fulfilled.. I'd rather cost myself some sales than damage my reuptation in such a potentially volitale market.

I hope this helps some people see that I am on the customers side and so help me I'll be doing returns en-masse if they are knockoffs!

Also, for those who question who my supliers are setup through.. or who want to do things for themselves like I am.. feel free to email us and I can talk to you about my setup.. I try and keep a very open door..

I sure hope all the info I've given out over the past fews days helps to show I'm a good intentioned merchant just trying to make an (honest!) buck or two.

And again, please, oh please, don't take this as advertising for myself.. I'm just trying to aleviate fears and prevent any besmirching of my company's name.

Well, I ordered a few Paramilitary knives along with a few others that seemed too good to be true. So far I got two e-mails saying they refunded my money for each of the two Paras I tried to order. I suspect that I will recieve e-mails for the other knives saying they are out of stock on them as well.

I was not surprised or dissapointed. That is what I thought would happen. When I checked out, they didn't charge any shipping so I don't even think the order was a real one. If i get any of the knives for those low prices, I would be surprised. It was worth a shot. Almost like playing the lotto except it was free!

There is no free lunch once again. LOL!

I know nothing about this company but it sounds like you all are being run through an ID theft scam. What better way than to sell cheap, refund all the orders and reap the card numbers cvcs and billing info.

remember ann_dem everyone? too good to be true? this is too good to be true. so your money is refunded for an out of stock knife. that's ok, now they have your cc# and personal information. something's fishy here.

I was always told to go with my gut feeling, and so far it has worked. I'll not be buying any knives from this company, good deals or not, real deal or knockoff. Something stinks of fish and it isn't my work pants.

maybe inspector GigOne should be put on the case and see if we have a rat in the woodpile.

just my 2 cents.

EDITED TO ADD: even if aho isn't advertising per se on bladeforums, he is reaping the benefits of increased sales through the use of bladeforums itself. if he is on the up and up, let him pay for a dealer membership, even as a token of his honesty. do the right thing, support the forums, they're helping to support you aho.

and regarding the thought that people will sell the knives IF they get them for cheap on aho's site on bladeforums for a markup and profit, perhaps it will be an added benefit when all these registered users upgrade to gold and platinum memberships ;). although, they could trade for knives of equal value and turn a de facto profit, I'd be happy to know that someone makes out in this. If something is too good to be true- it probably is.

I knew my chances of actually getting the knives I ordered were not very good but I wasn't even thinking about getting my ID scammed. If this happens, I will be sure to come down on them like a ton of bricks.

To answer the question, "What ID information do I get from google?".. I get a name and address.. I do not get CC numbers. Anyone can read this information for yourself on google's checkout site: http://checkout.google.com/ . The chance of ID theft by me is completely zero.. but do not take my word for it.. ask google.

Please stop spreading fud (fear, uncertinaity, and doubt).

when someone actually recieves a knife for you that is not a knockoff, is actually sold for the price you advertise, and complete a successful transaction, I will be the first one to post here and apologise for my suspicion. until then, I choose not to deal with you, and will continue to advise people against pursuing something that is too good to be true. do a search for ann_dem and you will see why many people here are taking the time and effort to warn other, less suspecting forumites to use caution.

it is nothing personal, but we at bladeforums are a big family and most of us look out for one another. prove yourself to us. until someone gets a knife from you, it is all just sunshine up the butt.

I have checked with Google and my bank, so far everything is on the up and up. The risk of identity theft does appear to be zero.

too good to be true? ...this is too good to be true... something's fishy here...Something stinks of fish and it isn't my work pants.
I agree 100%. This is a fishy kettle of fish.

I have gotten unbelievable deals before on close-outs, but that was with an established, trusted retailer that has been around forever. This place is new and I don't know of anybody who's ever actually received a product from them yet.

The way I see it, there's nothing much there that I really want that bad - not bad enough to take a risk on anyway. And if I miss out on the deal then a bunch of guys get knives for a great price that I didn't want anyway, it's no real loss to me. But if we see a follow up thread where some bad things happened, I will be thankful that I didn't jump in feet first.

It's New Year's day... Wait until the banks are open for a couple of days before breathing a sigh of relief. I'm paranoid because I've just watched Ocean's 11 :D

Hi all,

Just wanted to say that Matt from AHO sent me an email explaining the cancelled cc transaction process... good to get a response.

Will still check with my c.c. branch tomorrow to confirm that the transaction was cancelled.

Pete1977: "Something stinks of fish and it isn't my work pants

While I'm being cautiously optimistic that my personal transaction with AHO will get sorted out... and am hoping that everything is on the up&up with the deals being offered...

that line was too funny!!!!!!!

Pete1977.. I understand completely.. I've personally used the 'if's it's too good to be true' rational a lot of the time myself so I definately understand the skepticisim.. personally I've never sold such a high volume of knives like this before, what I'm worried most about are the stock numbers being inaccurate or the supplier selling out to someone else that ordered before I placed mine (I jumped on any order I received as fast as humanly possible to place it with the supplier because of this) or even possibly the supplier being dishonest with me and not supplying me with the info that some of the knives are knock-offs or some such malarky along those lines.. belive me when I say I'm sweatting bullets.. I really want to serve the customer right but I can only go so far.. the supplier really has to tow their end as well.. and my face/reputation is on the line with them doing just that.

What I really object to is the 'ID Theft' speculation.. google doesn't give me cc numbers, cvv or any card info beyond a simple pass or fail notification to avs and cvv information the customer supplied them. The only info we get is the shipping address and name and if the customer opts to.. a real email address.. otherwise that's hidden as well.. it's basically quasi-anonymous shopping.. it's a major reason why I switched to using google checkout.

A lot of people are scared of shopping online because of how often the public media trumps up ID theft cases.. it is a real problem, don't get me wrong.. and having to divuldge personal information for what the customer preceives as a sketchy bargain is just too hard for some to do..
