Everything I said in this thread about steel,designs and prices are simple facts known to everyone knowledgeable about knives.I deal in facts,not bullshit.

Let`s see what I got?I`m not a knifemaker,I dabble in making,make a sheath or a simple neck knife once in a while.Does it seem that I have "all the experience in fighting knives"?Thanks for the compliment but the number of real knifefighting experts is extremely small and I`m not one of them (If you read bladeforums you may get the impression there are 1000`s of them.)What do you mean experience in fighting knives?Making them,fighting with them or having experienced being stabbed with one?I`m none of these.

If it takes an expert to know that a combat prybar-type 1/4" thick knife should be made of carbon and not stainless steel and it shouldn`t cost the same as a house in Michigan,then I`m the knife expert.This thread is ultimately about basic honesty.

Come down to where I work and you could probably buy a couple of city blocks. The sad part is things are really that bad. I'll be lucky to have a job in a couple months, and I'm trying to go to school.

Nope. They have banned knives and smoking from the campus. Interestingly enough, I helped one of the office ladies open a box with my Sage II the other day. Hypocrisy.

I wasn't 'cracking' on anyone. This Greco person doesn't even HAVE a forum here so obviously I was making a smartass comment. I apologize if I offended you and your delicate sensibilities or anyone else here. That was never my intention.

I ain't worried about my sensibilities, but this thread is spiraling like so many before. We got this one guy flaming people and pushing buttons left and right, and a maker gets caught up in the storm. Now that the word shill has been thrown out there, and the specific question of shilling Grecos in specific, someone is gonna ask themselves 'Greco has people shill for him?' when there is nothing suggesting that anything remotely similar is happening. If anything, this would be an example of exactly how not to shill. What we have here is a Greco fanboy who is turning people off to his work, and that shouldn't be happening. AFAIK, John Greco does not operate like Mantis Knives.
